The 83rd Edition of the Israel Athletic Championships began at Hadar Yosef Stadium in Tel Aviv. Diana Vaisman broke her own Israeli record in the 100 meters running 11.27. The 2 day event will culminate on Thursday night.

Maccabi Tel Aviv visited Cluj in first leg second round Champions League qualifying and fell 1:0 on a first half goal by Billel Omrani.
