Amar’e Stoudemire announced that he won’t be back at Hapoel Jerusalem as he looks for his next basketball challenge. On July 8th he will be have a private workout for at least 5 teams.

The Israel National Under-25 Basketball Team won their first game at the University Games as they defeated Australia 92-64. Golan Gutt led the way with 17 points (5/7 from 3), Lior Carreira added 15 points, Yiftah Ziv dropped 12 points and Idan Zalmanson chipped in with 10 points. Israel will face the Czech Republic on Friday night followed by Mexico on Saturday afternoon.
Israel Baseball won their 4th game in a row as they were victorious over Russia 13-12. Blake Gailen had a walk-off single in the 10th. The next game is on Friday July 5 @ 10 am (Bulgaria time).
After beating Belgium 8-1 thanks to a 3-4, 2HR, 5RBI performance by Darby Rosen coupled with a 7-0 win over Switzerland, the Israel Women’s National Softball Team finished with a perfect 3-0 record in group H and will face Germany (Saturday, 14:00 ISR Time) for 9-10th place in the Women’s European Championship.
Transactions
Oz Blayzer will continue with Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion after finishing last season strong helping the team advance to the Israel Basketball Winner League Final against eventual champion Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Nikita Rukavytsya will stay with Maccabi Haifa until June 2021 as he signed a 2-year extension with the Greens. Muhamed Ghadir signed with Bnei Yehuda after playing last campaign at Bnei Sakhin.
