Can Zoos reach the top of the mountain, Dabbur at Sevilla, Israel U20’s, Baseball & More! Israel Sports Rabbi Rundown July 5, 2019

Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Israeli Star Yovel Zoosman is playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers NBA Summer League team in an attempt to join the “World’s Greatest League.” Check out the Sports Rabbi in The Jerusalem Post to find out If Zoos Can Reach The Top Of The Mountain.

Israeli Monas Dabbur was officially introduced by La Liga side Sevilla and spoke to the club’s Official Website, “I’m very happy to be here. My challenge is to always score goals. What you do in one league isn’t necessarily easy to do in another. The Spanish league is the best in the world. I’ve been able to do it in other teams and have experience with my national squad”.

His signing was confirmed six months ago and he recognised that the wait has felt long: “I would have liked to come in January but I stayed in Salzburg for some months more and the wait made it a bit long. I was happy in Austria but I wanted to come. I’m finally here and I hope I can do well”.

He also knows what’s ahead: “Sevilla fans live for this Club. The atmosphere is incredible before and during matches. I’m sure that when I play here I’ll feel sensations I’ll never forget.”

Israel head coach Ariel Beit Halachmi spoke about the win, “It was fun with a great crowd in a terrific arena that had a fantastic atmosphere. This was our second game against Croatia and they have been both close. They have a lot of character and their style of play made it tough for us as they play a very organized game and every mistake we made cost us three points. I hope that other teams don’t play as well as they have because we will have a tough time. We will have to get used to this style.”

Yanic Wildschut joined Maccabi Haifa in a two year deal after playing with Bolton Wanderers.
