Maccabi Ramat Gan rolled over Kiryat Ata with a 94-71 win up north. Shmulik Brenner’s squad featured six players in double digits as they had no problem taking the road victory over Sharon Avrahami’s team.
Maccabi Ramat Gan got busy early with Karam Mashour and Jordan Cohen scoring at ease while James Batemon and Raz Adam answered for Kiryat Ata, but Shmulik Brenner’s team held a 54-42 lead at halftime. Isaiah Miles, Yuval Sznajderman, Jimmy Hall and Adam Ariel kept scoring at will in the second half to break the game open and runaway with the win.
Miles scored 17 points, Cohen added 14 points, Mashour scored 13 points while Hall checked in with a 12 point and 10 rebound double-double in the win. Batemon scored 14 points as Adam, Ben Saraf and Amin Stevens all scored 11 points in the loss.
“I don’t think it was going to be such a big gap especially when I found out in warmups that JP Tokoto wasn’t going to play,” Ramat Gan coach Shmulik Brenner said. “Everyone contributed and reacted well, we believed that we could win going in but there are also things we need to improve on.”
Isaiah Miles looked back at the win, “Offensively we dug in mentally and shared the ball very well. Guys in the past games when we couldn’t shoot 3’s were clicking in this game. The defense helped our offense in transition and when we hit shots the confidence transferred throughout the team.”
