Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Maccabi Netanya 2:1 on Matchday 4 of the Israel Premier League Ligat Japanika. Itay Shechter gave the Yellow & Blue a first half lead, but the host’s drew even early on in the second half thanks to a David Tiram header. However, an off balanced sharp angled shot by Eli Dasa from the right side in the 81’ made its way past a baffled Dani Amos to give Maccabi the 3 points and the win. On Wednesday Maccabi will face Maccabi Haifa in the Toto Cup Final at the Moshava Stadium while on Monday October 1st the Yellow & Blue will host the Reds in the Tel Aviv Derby.

In a wild game in front of 20,000 fans at Teddy Stadium in the capital city, Beitar took all of the points thanks to goals by Idan Vered, Or Inbrum and Afonso Taira. Mohamed Ghadir and George Akpabio found the back of the goal for the visitor’s. This was the first match in a 3 years where the visiting fans were allowed to attend and the atnsohere couldn’t have been better. Jerusalem owner Moshe Hogeg took his 5 year old son right into the East Stand and stood together with the Yellow & Black supportsers as a sign that anew dawn has finally arrived for Beitar.

Two late goals by Lucio (85’) and Hassan Abu Zaid (89’) gave the host’s the win and a share of first place with Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Karem Arshid’s 28′ goal gave Raanana the lead but Josip Ivancic’s 87′ strike for Ashdod split the points for the sides.
