Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Maccabi Bnei Reineh 2-0 as the yellow-and-blue scored a pair of second half penalties to snatch the 3-points. Following a goalless first half, Osher Davida was tripped up by Junior Pius as he went into the box handing Maccabi Tel Aviv that Ido Shachar promptly scored for a 1-0 lead in the 59th minute. The visitors doubled the advantage a quarter hour later when Maccabi was issued another penalty as Elad Madmon slotted home the spot kick for a 2-0 lead and the win.

Yellow-and-blue Head Coach Žarko Lazetić shared his thoughts on the win, “It was a very good game from our side and I’m very pleased with my players. In the first half, we saw our best minutes of the season as we created chances, although the opponent also had one and Roi Mishpati saved us, but we won the game, and it was a very good performance from us.”

Bnei Reineh bench boss Adham Hadiya said, “The feelings right now are difficult. In the first half, we had a 100% goal chance but you have to stay focused against Maccabi Tel Aviv. In the end, you plan, you work and we saw that Maccabi Tel Aviv struggled. Then, making a mistake after losing the ball on the first penalty led to their goal. And the second penalty? I don’t know.”

Maccabi Haifa and Hapoel Jerusalem played to a dramatic 2-2 draw as Trivante Stewart’s brace was canceled out by a pair of late goals by the Reds including an Ilay Madmon free kick deep into second half injury time to take home a point for their efforts. After a goalless first half, Stewart scored his first marker of the match early in the second half and then doubled the advantage via the penalty spot for a 2-0 lead by the 60th minute. However, Aweka Ashata pounded home a loose ball in the box which was followed up by Madmon’s free kick goal in the 95th minute just seconds before the referee blew the full time whistle as the sides split the points.

Maccabi Haifa Head Coach Barak Bachar spoke about what happened in the final minutes of the match, “It was similar to what happened last week, too much pressure and panic in the closing minutes. We weren’t exposed during the game. There was a lot of bad luck and small things we need to improve. The second half was good. There’s a process we need to go through with the players; they need to take more responsibility. It’s important to keep working.”

Hapoel Jerusalem bench boss Ziv Arie summed up the game, “At 2–0, with two shots hitting the post and our own turnovers, to say we didn’t deserve to lose sounds a bit strange. In the end, it balanced out in terms of the quality of chances. In no way did we deserve to lose. We had a lot of disorganization; the penalty was made up and it was easy to call against us. We’ll move on. We believe in our path. We have great fans who always support us. We’re making every effort to improve.”

Hapoel Tel Aviv blacked Ironi Tiberias 2-0 as Stav Turiel was involved in both goals as the Reds took the 3-points and the win. Hapoel found the back of the goal in the 30th minute as Turiel’s ball glanced off of Sambinha for an own goal while Turiel’s smart shot in second half injury time beat the Tiberias keeper Rogerio Santos to wrap up the win.

Hapoel Tel Aviv Head Coach Elyaniv Barda commented on the result, “These are three very important points. We wanted to keep a clean sheet. We went through a very intense week with three matches, but there are expectations here and I embrace them though we also need perspective. We played against a good opponent that almost beat Maccabi Haifa. We played two games against Beer Sheva and Beitar and we both won and lost against each of them. The team still has a way to go, and every point we collect, we need to cherish it, be happy about itand prepare for the next match.”

Ironi Tiberias Head Coach Eliran Hodeda spoke a both the match, “I think we didn’t deserve to lose today. If we’re being honest, it was a draw-type game. In the second half, we controlled the match, created chances and played good football, but in the end, when we pushed forward, we were punished on the counter. We need to learn from this and move forward,”

Ashdod sunk Hapoel Haifa 4-1 as the port city side scored four unanswered goals to come back from a 1-0 deficit to take the win. Javon East quickly gave the Carmel reds a 1-0 lead in the 2nd minute, but they hosts drew even a half hour later when Tom Ben Zaken’s free kick found Ibrahim Diakite in the box who nodded home the tying goal. Ashdod grabbed the advantage a few minutes later when Ben Zaken recorded his second assist as he sent a perfect ball to Jean Florent Batoum whose header with authority beat a helpless Niv Antman for a 2-1 lead. Ori Azo then latched onto a Nir Bitton long ball and pounded it into the Haifa goal while Eugene Ansah scored in second half injury time to polish off the 4-1 win.

Ashdod bench boss Haim Silvas spoke about the victory, “Even in this game at home we started at a disadvantage and I’m very happy that we came back. Wins like this start in games like last week’s, when we knew first not to lose. I’m a bit disappointed that we dropped back a little in the second half, but I can’t complain after a 4–1 win and coming from behind. We win at home and move on.”

Hapoel Haifa Head Coach Gal Arel shared his thoughts, “We started the game well with a goal in the second minute, but then we sat back. Our pressing game didn’t work and Ashdod began to take control of the match. We had a chance to score a second goal, but instead we went into halftime trailing 3–1. We tried to change our system, and in the second half we created many chances, but couldn’t score. It’s disappointing, we’ll look ahead and fix things.”

Hapoel Petach Tikva and Bnei Sakhnin played to an entertaining 2-2 draw as the team’s split the points at the Moshava Stadium. Chipyoka Songa scored a penalty in the 5th minute to hand Petach Tikva a 1-0 lead Jubayer Bushnak found the back of the goal to draw Sakhnin even as the half neared its end. However, Itay Rotman’s header off a corner kick deep into injury time gave the hosts a 2-1 advantage but Ahmed Salman scored the equalizer from inside of the box at the 50th minute as each team took home a point.
