Maccabi Tel Aviv fell in Greece by eight points 83-75 to powerhouse Panathinaikos. The Yellow & Blue had tons of problems scoring over the first three quarters with a total of 43 points and down by nine after 30 minutes but a 24-15 final frame helped Maccabi to a 67-67 tie and a trip to overtime. However, the extra period was all Panathinaikos sending Maccabi to their second loss in a row in Euroleague action.
Chris Singelton led the way with a game high 26 points for the hosts while Sonny Weems’s 15 points and a Devin Smith double-double (11pts & 12rebs) topped Maccabi’s scoring leaders.
