Ben Saraf and Danny Wolf were officially introduced as members of the Brooklyn Nets at a festive press conference as all of the club’s five draft picks were present at the team’s training center.

“I am really excited for the summer league and to start the journey,” Saraf said in his opening remarks. “I think we all play several positions it’s not gonna be a problem and gonna be amazing. It was also amazing that I got a lot of love from the Jewish community. This is the first time it’s multiple Israelis on the same team. As for having played as professional already for 3 years, it helps to get your body ready and stick to routine and be ready every night.”

Danny Wolf added, “I think my basketball journey has been up and down and it took a few different steps to get where I am today. Yale gave me an opportunity to work on my game and develop. I had a great summer playing for the Israel national team in that summer Under-20 European Championship that gave me some momentum. I had a pretty good sophomore year and then decided it was my best interest to go challenge myself and prove myself on at the best in the country. I had a great season there and I was in position to get into the NBA soI decided this was the time.”

“My skillset is still developing from the jump I made from Yale to Michigan and the NBA is a different animal and I am going to keep working on whatever Jordi [Fernandez] and the staff wants me to do to the best of my ability. I’m still working and developing to become that player,” Wolf commented.

The Nets General Manager Sean Marks also spoke about Saraf and Wolf coming on board in Brooklyn, “I really enjoyed seeing Ben overseas as we went over to see him a few times live. He was playing at a high level over there and Ben’s worldly experience is key as he finishes around the basket. High IQ and a skill set that’s unique at his side.
“It’s fantastic the way it worked out, basketball is played all over the globe. There’s talent everywhere and our goal is to be unique to have both of them here. The Jewish community is excited too. They are going to be great ambassadors for their country.”
