1) Hapoel Jerusalem BC made their first signing of the offseason inking guard J’Covan Brown to a 2-year deal. The University of Texas product played with Hapoel Gilboa/Galil last season and averaged 16.3ppg and 5.9apg while starring in the playoffs against the Jerusalem Reds where he scored 20.3ppg and averaged 6.3apg. The question that needs to be asked is if Brown is replacing Jerome Dyson or complementing him?

2) According to a report on One.co.il, Maccabi Tel Aviv BC will be meeting with the President of the VTB League Sergey Kushchenko who will be visiting Israel on Saturday June 23, 2018 to see if the Yellow & Blue will have their Maccabi “A” team join the competition. This would be in addition to the Euroleague as ownership has stated that they will split the team into 2 squads with the Maccabi “B” team playing in the Israel Basketball League.

3) Maccabi Tel Aviv FC opened up training camp yesterday under the tutelage of new Head Coach Vladan Ivic as they prepare for UEFA Europa League qualification and will find out their Round 1 and potential Round 2 opponent on Wednesday. Tomorrow, Tuesday the Israel Football Premier League will have their fixture draw while Hapoel Beer Sheva will also find out who they will face in UEFA Champions League qualifying first and second round action should they advance.
