Hapoel Beer Sheva 1:1 Maccabi Netanya
Tomás Pekhart gave the hosts a 1:0 lead thanks to a pass from Captain Elyaniv Barda that Czech was able handle and score. However, Diaa Saba sent Aviv Avraham a terrific ball that the latter finished and put behind veteran Beer Sheva keeper Dudu Goresh for the goal as the sides ended in a 1:1 draw.


Maccabi Tel Aviv 0:3 Beitar Jerusalem
The Yellow & Blue opened their Israel Premier League Ligat Ha’Al season with a disappointing 3:0 loss to Beitar Jerusalem on Matchday 1 at the Netanya Stadium. Itay Shechter starred for the visitors as he put back his own missed penalty for the first goal and scored from the top of the box for his second marker with both strikes coming in the first half. Idan Vered added a late goal to help Beitar to the away win.

Bnei Yehuda 2:0 Maccabi Haifa
Matan Hozez singlehandedly defeated the Greens with a brace to give the hosts 3-points. The first goal saw the Maccabi product get by Omri Ben Harush while the second goal was scored late in the game for the 2:0 win.


SC Ashdod 1:2 Maccabi Petah Tikva
Dan Bitton scored the first goal of the 2017/18 Israel Premier League Ligat Ha’Al season to give Ashdod a 1:0 first half lead. But Manor Solomon helped set up Lidor Cohen for the tying goal and scored the wining goal himself to hand Kobi Refuah’s squad the 3-points and Matchday 1 win.


Hapoel Haifa 3:1 Hapoel Ashkelon
Tal Ayala gave the visitors a 1:0 first half lead, but 3 unanswered send half goals by Nir Klinger’s side gave the hosts the win. Eden Ben Basat scored an 18 meter free kick while Alon Turgeman picked up a brace for Haifa.


Hapoel Acre 1:2 Bnei Sakhnin
The visitors picked up the Matchday 1 win against Acre thanks to goals by Firas Mugrabi via penalty and Avraham Paz in the 67th minute. Amit Biton cut the lead late game but it was too little too late.


Hapoel Raanana 0:0 Kiryat Shemona
The sides split the point in a dry goalless draw in Netanya.
