Barak Itzhaki’s second half goal was all the Yellow & Blue would need to defeat upstart Ashdod at the Netanya Stadium.


Kiryat Shemona 2:0 Beitar Jerusalem
A disappointing loss for Jerusalem Head Coach Ran Ben Shimon as the Ahmed Abed scored a first half goal and assisted on Mauricio’s 48th minute deflection as Tomer Kashtan’s side picked up the win.


Maccabi Haifa 1:2 Bnei Sakhnin
The Greens suffered a shocking home defeat at Sammy Ofer Stadium. Dekel Keinan opened the scoring for the hosts in the 18th minute but Ramzi Sfori’s 73rd minute marker coupled with Giorginho’s 90th minute strike led to the surprise win for Sakhnin and a disappointing loss by Haifa.


Maccabi Petach Tikva 2:0 Hapoel Raanana
Guy Melamed and Roman Mihai scored second half goals to help Petach Tikva to third place in the Ligat Ha’Al after 15 matches with 25 points.


Bnei Yehuda 1:1 Hapoel Haifa
Almog Bozaglo’s super strike for Bnei Yehuda was cancelled out by Shlomi Arbeitman’s 30th minute marker as the sides split the points at the Moshava Stadium.


Hapoel Ashkelon 0:0 Hapoel Kfar Saba
A goalless draw was on tap in Ashkelon as each club captured a point in a dull 0:0 contest.
