Maccabi Tel Aviv wins first game under new coach Bagatskis


Maccabi Tel Aviv 93-84 Rishon Lezion

Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Rishon Le’Zion at Beit Maccabi, 93-84. Sylven Landesberg scored 21 points, while Colton Iverson had 20 points for Maccabi Tel Aviv. Charles Thomas scored 22 points while Patrick Richard had 15 for Rishon. Game MVP, Colton Iverson commented: “We played hard and got the victory in a tough environment.” New Maccabi Head Coach Ainars Bagatskis spoke as well: “We pressured all the time, and I was worried about this game, considering we had one practice, we were very patient but most important consistent. We played fast, aggressive, and smart.”


Hapoel Jerusalem 72-65 Hapoel Tel Aviv

Hapoel Jerusalem defeated Hapoel Tel Aviv for the second time in a week. Cutris Jerrells scored 18 points, while Yotam Halperin and Kinsey Tarence finished with 13 points a piece for Jerusalem. Darrell Williams had 22 points & 14 rebounds, while Alando Tuckers scored 19 for the Tel Aviv Reds.


Maccabi Kiryat Gat 67-75 Hapoel Holon

Hapoel Holon beat Maccabi Kiryat Gat 75-67 on the road. James Bell scored a big 22 points, while Khlaif Wyatt had 17 points for Holon. Kelly Curtis had 18 points, while Justin Carter had 15 points and 10 rebounds.


Bnei Herzliya 83-71 Maccabi Ashdod

Bnei Herzliya had 6 players in double digits, as they cruised to a comfortable home win over Maccabi Ashdod. Taurean Green, Jeff Adrien (10rebounds), Karam Mashour all had 16 points for Herzliya. Simon Chase had 24 points while Ed Daniel had 17 for Maccabi Ashdod.


Hapoel Gilboa/Galil 62-106 Ironi Nahariya

Ironi Nahariya cruised to huge 44 point victory over the embarrassed Gilboa/Galil. Stu Douglass had 17 points, while Niv Berkowitz had 16 points for Nahariya. Jason Siggers finished with 17 points, while Michael Qualls scored 14 for Gilboa.


Hapoel Eilat 93-85 Maccabi Haifa

Maccabi Haifa came back from Eilat with a 93-85 victory. John Dibartolomeo exploded with a huge 35 points, while Orlando Mendez Valdez had 18 points for Maccabi Haifa. Landon Milbourne finished with 26 points and 9 rebounds, while Afik Nissim dropped 16 points for Eilat.
