Israel Football League Matchday 10

Maccabi Haifa defeated Hapoel Hadera 2:1 on Matchday 10. Goals by Mohammed Awaed and Nikita Rukavytsya helped the Greens to the win while Lucio scored a late penalty for the host’s.

Maccabi Tel Aviv took home the 2:1 win over Kiryat Shemona thanks to a Omer Atzily brace. Yoel Abuhatzeira scored early in the first half but an Atzily free kick and penalty handed the Yellow & Blue the 3 points.

Hapoel Beer Sheva defeated Beitar Jerusalem 3:2 at Teddy Stadium as all five goal came in the last quarter hour of the contest. An own goal, a Maor Melikson strike and a Nigel Hasselbaink marker gave the visitor’s the win as Tal Kahila and Ofir Kriaf answered for Jerusalem.

Bnei Yehuda visited Hapoel Haifa at Sammy Ofer Stadium and grabbed a 2:0 victory. Yarden Shua and Sagiv Yehezkel found the back of the goal for the visiting Bnei Yehuda side.

Maccabi Petah Tikva defeated Maccabi Netanya 1:0 in the 87th minute on perhaps the strangest goal of the season. With Lidor Cohen injured in the box and Habib Habibou attending to him, Manor Solomon crossed the ball into the area from the right side which Netanya keeper Dani Amos couldn’t get to. Habibou left Cohen for a split second for just enough time to stab the ball into the goal and then immediately went back to checking on his injured teammate without celebrating his winner.

Bnei Sakhnin took out Ashdod in a crazy 4:3 win as Genaim, Azulay via penalty, Ghadir and Calibat scored for the host’s. Dudu Bitton with a brace and Dan Bitton with a lone marker found the back of the goal for Ashdod in the loss.

Hapoel Tel Aviv hosted Hapoel Raanana at the Moshava Stadium as the side’s played to a goalless draw and split the points.
