Israel Basketball League Round Four Nov 7-9, 2015

Maccabi Rishon LeZion picked up a big 89-83 home win over Hapoel Jerusalem to climb to the top of the table after round five of the Israeli Basketball Premier League.

The hosts saw Darryl Monroe put in an incredible performance with a double-double, 29 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists to dish out a first loss of the season to Hapoel. Mark Lyons also looked good with 19 points and 6 assists while Donta Smith led the way for Hapoel with 19 points and 11 rebounds.

Maccabi Tel Aviv suffered another loss and finally sacked their coach Guy Goodes after falling 83-88 at home to Maccabi Ashdod thanks to a final quarter collapse.

Diante Garrett dominated for the visitors with a massive 34 points and a number of his teammates also played very well while no-one stood out for the Tel Aviv side.

Bnei Herzeliya racked up their second win of the season after defeating Maccabi Haifa 74-64 in a low scoring game. Stephen Dennis notched up 16 points and 9 rebounds for the hosts.

Ironi Nes Ziona dominated in a 92:76 home victory over Hapoel Holon. Diamon Simpson took 25 points for the hosts while Yuval Naimi netted 24. Jeremis Smith played well for the visitors with 21 points.

Hapoel Tel Aviv took a convincing 84-61 victory at Hapoel Eilat under new coach Sharon Avrahami who replaced Oded Katash as the Reds move up to eighth place. Chris Evans scored 24 points with Talor Battle netting 21. Following the game Eilat coach Arik Shivek and management came to a mutual parting of the ways.

Maccabi Kiryat Gat took their second win of the season 81-70 away to Ironi Nahariya. Scoring was evenly distributed for the visitors who relied on a good team performance to pick up the win.
