Israel Basketball Gameday 29

Maccabi Ashdod 92-67 Hapoel Gilboa/Galil
After an insane comeback last game, Gilboa Galil had no such luck this time around as they were demolished by Maccabi Ashdod 92-67. Ashdod was actually trailing by 2 at the half but came out with a completely new energy in the 2nd half as they rolled with ease to 25 point victory. The usual three once again showed up for Ashdod. Sek Henry had 15 points, Cameron Long had a triple-double of 14-10-10, and Gerald Lee led all scorers with 24 points. The big three for Gilboa Galil was just a big two for this contest as J’Covan Brown sat out. Zach LeDay had a big outing with 24 points and 11 boards but it wasn’t enough to make up for the production that they get from Brown when he’s on the floor.

Nes Ziona 104-93 Bnei Herzliya
Nes Ziona took care of business against a lowly Herzliya ballclub 104-93. After taking a 4 point lead at halftime, Nes Ziona more than doubled the scoring total of Herzliya in the 3rd quarter and cruised towards the finish line. Gary Browne Ramirez, Khalif Wyatt, and Daequan Cook all finished with 20+ points and Herzliya had no players do as they did. Israel native Aviram Zelekovits came off the bench and led his team with 19 points.

Hapoel Tel Aviv 86-81 Hapoel Jerusalem
Hapoel Tel Aviv defeated Hapoel Jerusalem in a tight game 86-81. Jerusalem trailed early but was able to stick around throughout the contest. Tel Aviv was led by Adrian Banks off the bench who had 22 points and 8 rebounds. Tel Aviv had nearly just as much production from their bench as their starting unit, a key to success that many teams have trouble finding. Stratos Perperoglou led Jerusalem in scoring with 17 points off the bench.
