Hapoel Jerusalem 91-80 Ironi Nahariya
Hapoel Jerusalem warmed up well for the biggest game of their season with a 91-80 victory over Ironi Nahariya. Although victorious, it was a very costly victory for Jerusalem as Travis Peterson went down with a shoulder injury. Jerome Dyson scored 22 points for Jerusalem, while Bar Timor scored 19 points and had 10 assists. Scotty Hopson scored 16 points, while Yancy Gates finished with 16 as well for Nahariya. Hapoel Jerusalem’s Coach commented after the game: “Firstly we need to wait to see his (Peterson’s) scan, but we approached this game seriously so all the players were out playing. It was important this mentality to play this game, this way.”
Bnei Herzilya 76-66 Galil Gilboa
Bnei Herzilya comfortably beat Galil Gilboa by 10 points. Herzilya remain in third place, looking strong. Karam Mashour scored 22 points and had 13 rebounds, while Jeff Adrien finished with 15 points for Herzilya. Murphy Holloway scored a huge 27 points, while Eric Griffen had 13 points for the losing Gilboa.
Hapoel Holon 99-70 Maccabi Ashdod
Hapoel Holon continued their Khalif Wyatt-less season, with an affirmative 99-70 victory over Maccabi Ashdod. Tu Holloway scored 22 points and had 9 assists, while Jordan Taylor had 14 points from the bench for Hapoel Holon. Kevin Dillard scored 18 points, while Chase Simon finished with 16 points for Maccabi Ashdod.
Hapoel Eilat 94-85 Rishon Le’Zion
Hapoel Eilat beat Rishon Lezion by a comfortable margin of 9 points, on Monday night league action. Rafi Menco scored a big 22 points with 13 rebounds, while Landon Milbourne scored 17 points for Hapoel Eilat. Maalik Wayns scored 23 points, while Charles Thomas scored 20 points for Rishon Lezion’s losing effort.
Maccabi Haifa 99-78 Maccabi Kiryat Gat
Maccabi Haifa dismantled Maccabi Kiryat Gat, 99-78. Haifa had 7 players in double digits leading the team to the big victory. William Graves scored 19 points, while Amit Simhon finished with 18 points for the winning Haifa. Brandon Bowman scored 19 points, while Josh Selby finished with 18 points for Kiryat Gat.
