Hapoel Beer Sheva drubbed Hapoel Haifa 4-0 as Rotem Hatuel scored a brace for the hosts as they took the win. After a goalless first half, Hatuel took a ball in the box, turned and slotted it home for a 1-0 lead. Tomer Yosefi had a chance to draw even minutes later, but his penalty was saved by keeper Niv Eliasi to keep his squad in front Hatuel scored his second of the game from in close as Yoni Stoyanov did the same in the 85th minute to bump the lead up to 3-0. Finally, Amir Ganah slotted home a penalty in added time to give Elyaniv Barda’s team the win.

“You could say that we waited for this win,” Barda began. “We had chances in teh first half and we controlled the pace of play but then things settled down a bit. We didn’t come out of the half as well but the ball went into the goal and the others found their way into the net from there.”

“This was a very weak match from us,” Haifa coach Roni Levy said. “That was the case right from the get go as we just didn’t get into the game properly. Perhaps we were a bit too calm after our win over Netanya and maybe we are a bit tied as well having to platy four games in 9 days.”

Hapoel Jerusalem downed Hapoel Tel Aviv 2-1 as the capital city reds grabbed the points for their second win in a row. Ayano Farada gave Ziv Arie’s squad a first half lead but Omri Altman’s 67th minute free kick drew Borja Lema’s team even. However, Cedric Don scored off a corner kick to give the hosts the victory.

“We played 20 minutes where we weren’t a bottom of the table team,” Arie said. “Then suddenly there was the mental aspect and the guys just didn’t want the ball. When the game was level at 1-1 I felt that we were going to score a second goal when we began to create chances.”

“It took us 15 minutes to get into the game,” Tel Aviv coach Lema said. “We stated improving on our play and we had chances to make the difference but we just didn’t do it. We had a rough start and sometimes you win, sometimes you lose and learn. The positive were that the guys got playing time and we scored off of a free kick after quote some time.”

Maccabi Netanya slipped by Hapoel Hadera 1-0 as Maxim Plakushchenko scored an 84th minute goal to give Guy Tzarfati his first win as the Diamond City side’s new coach.

“I want to thank the IDF as without them this game and getting back to some sort of normal would not be possible, this is to their credit,” Tzarfati began. “I want to share my deepest sympathies to those who have been effected by the war, the parents who are sending their children to help bring the hostages home. Ashdod forced us into a tough game and that created less chances than we perhaps would normally have but we were able to pull out the win.”

“We could have come out of this game with a lot more than we did,” Ashdod coach Messay Dego said. “We came in with a fantastic game plan and we had enough chances to decide the game. We weren’t able to and they had one chance that gave them the result. It’s disappointing.”
