Ironi Tiberas stunned Hapoel Beer Sheva 3-0 with all three markers coming in the second half up at Green Stadium as the Kineret squad snatched the 3-points and the shocking victory. After a goalless first half, David Keltjens sent a volley into the Beer Sheva goal for a 1-0 lead in the 65th minute while defender Djibril Diop was issued a red card due to a reckless tackle leaving the southern reds with just 10 men for the balance of the match. Peter Michael sent a low liner from the top of the box past keeper Niv Eliasi to double the advantage while Sambinha nodded home the third strike to close out the 3-0 win.

Tiberias Head Coach Eliran Hodeida spoke about the win, “I think in terms of the result, this game was fantastic for Tiberias, but at the end of the day it’s only 3-points. Credit goes to the players for the performance and now we need to prepare for Beitar Jerusalem. If we don’t believe and think we can do it then there’s no point in being involved in this sport. We’re going through a very challenging period, but in every difficulty there’s an opportunity and I’m happy the players overcame it.”

Hapoel Beer Sheva Head Coach Ran Kozuk reflected on the defeat, “I think we lost our minds in this game. The defensive level that we displayed was simply a disgrace and that was true from the start of the match. I don’t know the reasons, but I do know we can learn from Tiberias about humility and passion. I was surprised by how we looked.”

Hapoel Tel Aviv defeated Maccabi Bnei Reineh 3-1 as Omri Altman scored a brace to take the 3-points and the win. Loizos Loizou opened the scoring in the 2nd minute to give the Reds a very early lead but Owusu Kwabena quickly found the equalizer three minutes later for Bnei Reineh. Altman headed home a Chico cross off a short corner to give Hapoel a 2-1 lead in the 22nd minute and then scored his second of the game off a rebound from a Loizou attempt in the second half to close out the victory.

Hapoel Tel Aviv Head Coach Elyaniv Barda spoke about the victory, “We started the game well, and then out of nowhere we conceded the equalizer. But we created a lot of chances, which is encouraging and ended up taking the win.”

Maccabi Bnei Reinah bench boss Adham Hadiya said, “We were close and we’re constantly playing tight games. When the score was 2–1 we came close to scoring but we weren’t sharp enough. It’s clear the team needs reinforcements for the squad, but we really need to pick up points.”

Hapoel Petach Tikva scorched Kiryat Shemona 4-1 as a quartet of different scorers helped Omer Peretz’s squad to the victory. After a goalless opening half hour, Mark Koszta took care of an Aviv Avraham miscue to give Petach Tikva a 1-0 lead at the break. Itay Rotman doubled the advantage in the 52nd minute while Cle put in a corner kick ten minutes later to give Petach Tikva a commanding 3-0 advantage. Shavit Mazal then scored off a brilliant Shachar Rosen cross while Cristian Martinez broke up the clean sheet with a goal in the 93rd minute.

Hapoel Petach Tikva Head Coach Omer Peretz talked about the win, “I would prefer if the goals were spread out to our other games and that we score a bit more in other matches but we haven’t tasted victory for a long time. Even in games that ended in draws, we deserved to win and I’m happy that we managed to take the points. It was important for us to create some distance from the bottom of the table.”

Kiryat Shemona bench boss Shay Barda reflected on the loss, “After 15 matches, this is the first time we may have lost by more than one goal. We were very weak here and we need to wake up as we looked poor and we didn’t play well. Too many goals came from our own mistakes and we’ll need to solve that.”

Hapoel Haifa slipped by Hapoel Jerusalem 1-0 as Yonatan Ferber scored the lone goal of the game in the opening minute when he waltzed into the box form the left side and sent a stunner into the top right hand corner to hand the Carmel reds the 3-points and the win.

Hapoel Haifa Head Coach Gal Arel spoke about the match, “We came into a very difficult away game against a team that is playing with good momentum. We knew it would be tough and I spoke with the guys about that as well as not having a good enough first round, but we opened the second round with wins and with a second consecutive clean sheet.”

Hapoel Jerusalem bench boss Ziv Arie summarized the loss, “It’s not easy to play from behind with the importance of this match. The players were slow and the fact that we held the ball didn’t help. It’s a painful loss, but we’ll move on. Like many games this season, we didn’t deserve this result.”

Bnei Sakhnin blanked Ashdod 3-0 as Jubayer Bushnak, Artur Miranyan and Mathew Cudjoe all scored in the first half to close out the win.
