Maccabi Tel Aviv crushed Kiryat Ata 116-82 as Lonnie Walker scored at will over the course of the first half as the yellow-and-blue grabbed a 67-45 lead at halftime and never looked back to take the win. Walker scored 19 points, Will Rayman added 16 points and Gur Lavi scored 15 points against his former club while Malik Hall and Darius Hannah each scored 14 points in the loss.
Oded Katash spoke about the win, “This was a good game from us although we weren’t focused at the start especially defensively as we gave up 30 points in the first quarter. But once we really focussed we took control of the game. I’m content especially offensively and we can see that from the amount of assists (35) and we want to keep up our fine play.”
Bnei Herzliya cruised past Elitzur Netanya 102-88 as the 3-point shooting made all the difference with Yehu Orland’s squad going 14/27 (51.9%) while Eli Rabi’s team went only 6/29 (20.7%) from beyond the arc as the visitors took the win. Max Heidegger and Elijah Stewart scored 21 points each in the victory while Nick Ongenda put in 21 points and Kahliel Spear scored put in 18 points in the loss.
Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion overwhelmed Hapoel Galil Elyon 88-64 as Qua Grant (22p) and Marcus Williams (14p) spearheaded the early attack to take a 44-28 lead at halftime and never look back as five players scored in double digits.
Hapoel Beer Sheva got by Maccabi Ramat Gan 97-92 as the southern reds saw CJ Elleby and Brandon Angel lead a 26-18 third quarter to take the lead after thirty minutes and never look back to chalk up the win. Elleby scored 36 points and Angel added 27 points in the win, while Drew Crawford paced the hosts with 22 points in the loss.
