Maccabi Tel Aviv cruised to a 106-71 win over ALBA Berlin to break their 3-game losing streak and move to 14-13 in Euroleague play with seven games to go in the regular season. The yellow-and-blue rattled off an 11-0 run midway through the first quarter to take the lead for good and never look back as they notched the easy victory.

James Webb led the way with 17 points, Wade Baldwin added 16 points and Josh Nebo chipped in with 15 points in the win. Johannes Theimann scored 14 points and Sterling Brown added 11 points in the loss.

“I liked the way we played and competed,” Katash said. “We have to play like this every game until the end of the season if we want to make the playoffs. We have to play like especially defensively. This It was a high tempo game and most of the game we did a good job defensively. Offensively, we shared the ball well which I liked. Before the break we had a crazy schedule and we played almost every two days so we couldn’t practice much which effected our spacing and we turned over the ball a lot.”

Wade Baldwin spoke about the victory, “We just did a little bit of recalibration, we know what’s in front of us and we have a tough March. It’s important to put together a good month and get into a playoff position. We are one of the better teams offensively and the issue has been how we defended the ball and here we held a fast break team to 71 points on their home court.”

James Webb talked about the victory as well, “It was all about playing well. This is the home stretch and we have to put our best foot forward and we executed well. Everybody was locked in and we were able to pick each other up, played on the ball and they rebounded well but we played well on the defensive end. We can take confidence from this game and Zalgiris is a great team. We have to play as we did in this game both offensively and defensively.”
