Maccabi jumped out to an early 11-0 lead as Halperin’s team continued to show superiority by taking a 20-9 advantage. Amit Ben David’s team slowly worked its way into the game, cutting the score to just 22-16 as they controlled the battle of the boards but Ron Stoller answered with a basket off an offensive rebound of his own. Yiftach Shalmon hit a corner 3-pointer and Tamir Gold extended the lead to 34-27 by halftime.
Omri Orland scored the first points of the third quarter, but on the other side Liam Elkobi buried a triple to make it 41-31 for Maccabi as the yellow-and-blue’s lead grew to 57-46 thanks to excellent defense. Elkobi opened the fourth quarter with another one from deep for the home side, while Yiftach Vashler answered with a three of his own and while HaEmek tried to mount a comeback, Maccabi knew how to respond on the way to the championship.
