It’s been awhile since Beitar defeated one of their arch rivals twice in a season, but they’ve done it this campaign winning a radius home match in Petach Tikva at the Moshava Stadium. Lidor Cohen scored the lone goal of the match off an assist by Dan Einbinder in a team effort leading up to the goal.

Maccabi Haifa 2:0 Hapoel Raanana

Yossi Benayoun was awarded a first half penalty which he missed, but collected his rebound to score and Glynor Plet added an insurance marker in the second half to help the Greens get back on the wining track against Haim Silvas’ club. Nigerian striker Austin Amutu scored in the 62nd minute for the hosts but substitute Zarko Korac pulled Haifa even in the 90th minute to earn a valuable split of the points. Korac’s goal came on a weak shot that second choice keeper Mahdi Zoabi let slip under his hands to the tying marker.
