Israel WINNER League Matchday 19 January 16-18, 2016

Beitar Jerusalem 1:0 Bnei Sakhnin

It’s been awhile since Beitar defeated one of their arch rivals twice in a season, but they’ve done it this campaign winning a radius home match in Petach Tikva at the Moshava Stadium. Lidor Cohen scored the lone goal of the match off an assist by Dan Einbinder in a team effort leading up to the goal.

Maccabi Haifa 2:0 Hapoel Raanana

Yossi Benayoun was awarded a first half penalty which he missed, but collected his rebound to score and Glynor Plet added an insurance marker in the second half to help the Greens get back on the wining track against Haim Silvas’ club. A red card to Adi Nimni in the 42nd minute left the visitors with only 10-men and little chance of coming back into the game.

Hapoel Tel Aviv 0:1 Hapoel Kfar Saba

The Reds may have Eli Gutman as their new manager but the results still haven’t changed as the home side fell 1:0 to Kfar Saba at Bloomfield Stadium. Sharon Mimer, the Greens new head coach is a perfect 2:0 after winning his debut last week against Beitar Jerusalem and today with the help of Maccabi Tel Aviv property Mavis Tchibota. The Congo native scored in the second half against returning Reds keeper Ariel Harush who made his return after 5 months from injury.

Maccabi Petach Tikva 0:1 Hapoel Beer Sheva

Beer Sheva will maintain their Israel Winner League lead after defeating Petach Tikva away at the Moshava Stadium. Maor Bozaglo scored the 45th minute penalty after Naor Pesar took down Maor Melikson in the box. The southern side will kick off against Beitar Jerusalem at Toto-Turner Stadium next week.

Maccabi Netanya 0:2 Bnei Yehuda

With Guy Tzarfati in charge, Netanya fell yet again giving up 2 goals in second half injury time to further cement themselves in last place with little direction for the rudderless ship. Yossi Mizrachi’s men came into the game with good momentum after advancing to the Round of 16 in the State Cup tournament earlier in the week. Jude Nworuh broke the scoreless match in the 90th minute and Pedro Galvan added the insurance marker on a 93rd minute penalty after being pull down in the box by Padol Seif who was shown a red card for his efforts. Netanya has now gone 767 minutes without a goal.

Kiryat Shemona 1:1 Hapoel Haifa

Nigerian striker Austin Amutu scored in the 62nd minute for the hosts but substitute Zarko Korac pulled Haifa even in the 90th minute to earn a valuable split of the points. Korac’s goal came on a weak shot that second choice keeper Mahdi Zoabi let slip under his hands to the tying marker.
