2) Egor Koulechov will play for the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA Summer League beginning today in Las Vegas. The Arizona State, Rice and Florida Gators product spoke to Yakov Meir of the Yisrael HaYom newspaper about the goals of the tournament, “All of the players are aiming for the same thing; to find an NBA team. Everyone is battling each other for that opportunity. I’ve been preparing for this over the past few months and I have a good feeling.” In terms of players that he aspires to be like, Koulechov says that Klay Thompson of the World Champion Golden State Warriors is who he models his game after, “His shot and defense are both at the highest of levels. That’s who I’d like to be.”
