Maccabi Ranaana 73-97 Maccabi Tel Aviv
Maccabi Tel Aviv won away at Maccabi Ranaana as Jonah Bolden led the Yellow & Blue with 15 points (3/4 from 3) and 7 rebounds in front of his father who was visiting the Holy Land. Karam Mashour dropped 14 points while Jake Cohen scored 12 points and grabbed 9 rebounds. The visitors toyed with Raanana throughout the contest as they were led by Michael Brisker with 19 points who also had the opportunity to shine in front of his father as well.

Bnei Herzliya 60-74 Hapoel Tel Aviv
With a new head coach in Aril Shivek, Bnei Herzeliya came into their State Cup game vs. Hapoel Tel Aviv with the feeling of a possibility of a fresh start. Well, at least they hoped for a new start. Hapoel Tel Aviv played solid throughout the whole 40 minutes and sent Herzliya back to the drawing board. Matt Howard had a double double with 13 pts and 13 rebounds whole Herzliya’s Jeff Adrien scored 19 points.

Maccabi Rehovot 67-95 Hapoel Eilat
Rehovot came in the game in first place in the second division as they faced off against Eilat in an interesting cup tie. However, Rehovot gave fight for one quarter as Eilat knew how to put the game in their pocket and went on to win it 95:67 on the road. Rehovot’s top scorer was Alonzo Coleman with 21 points while Jordan Loyd scored 15 points for Eilat.

Nahariya 74-90 Hapoel Jerusalem
Hapoel Jerusalem headed up north to face a tough cup tie: Nahariya. Hapoel Jerusalem were hoping that his cup game will put them back on the right track after a tough defeat and elimination from the Eurocup earlier in the week. Jerusalem dominated for the most part as Lior Eliyahu (10 assist) and Yotam Halperin (20 points) and took the Reds to a big road win to keep their cup dream alive. Corey Webster scored 18 points for Nahariya.

Hod HaSharon 77-91 Hapoel Holon
Holon tipped off against Hod HaSharon and proved who the better was. It did not come easy, but Holon knew how to win the game and secure a spot in the next round thanks to Tashawn Thomas who scored 21 points while Vernon Til answered with 24 points for Hod Hasharon.

Hapoel Beer Sheva 81-69 Hapoel Ramat Gan
Beer Sheva played Ramat Gan in a game that started off with a power outage, the one event which will be probably remembered most from this game. The home team from the south made sure to win on their home court and clinch spot in the next round of the State Cup as they won by 12 points. Storm Warren dropped 35 points for the hosts while Noam Laish scored 25 points for Ramat Gan.

Maccabi Haifa 70-77 Maccabi Ashdod
Maccabi Ashdod pulled off a tough win on the road vs. Maccabi Haifa as coach Brad Greenberg faced one of his former teams. The game was close but Ashdod found the right rhythm in the dying moments to knock out the Greens 77:70 as Cameron Long scored 21 points for the visitors in the win.

Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion 92-87 Nes Ziona
Maccabi Rishon took on Nes Ziona in one of the closer and intense games of this cup round. Rishon played hard to defend its home court as Andrew Crawford scored 24 points in the victory.
