Maccabi Haifa 89-68 Maccabi Ashdod
Maccabi Haifa cruised to an easy 21-point home win against Maccabi Ashdod. After losing to Holon last time out, Maccabi Haifa won with ease being led by Amit Simhon who had 22 points and 10 rebounds. Orlando Mendez Valdez and Alexander Perez Kaufmann also added 17 points a piece for Haifa. Ashdod’s Jake Cohen and Chase Simon played well with 18 points and 14 points, respectively in the losing effort.
Maccabi Rishon 84-69 Hapoel Holon
Maccabi Rishon ended Hapoel Holon’s 3 game winning streak on Sunday night with a convincing 84-69 home win. Rishon’s scoring was pretty spread out with all five starters finishing with double digits in points. Shawn Dawson led Rishon with 21 points. Shlomi Harush had 14, while Khalif Wyatt added 13 for Holon.
Maccabi Tel Aviv 85-83 Hapoel Jerusalem
Maccabi Tel Aviv won the leagues’ marquee matchup 85-83 against Hapoel Jerusalem. DJ Seeley had a solid 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Andrew Goudelock and Sylven Landesberg had 11 points a piece for Maccabi. Lior Eliyahu had 14 points, while Amare’ Stoudemire and Jerome Dyson both scored 13 points for Hapoel.
Ironi Nahariya 81-71 Hapoel Eilat
Ironi Nahariya continued their good league play with a 10-point away victory at Hapoel Eilat. Gilbert Brown had 21 points, while Derwin Kitchen scored 16 for Nahariya. Landon Milbourne had 13 points, Pierria Henry, Tony Mitchell and Afik Nissim all finished with 10 points for Eilat, who have dropped there past two games.
Bnei Herzliya 79-64 Maccabi Kiryat Gat
Karam Mashour’s 21 points led Bnei Herzliya to an expected 79-64 win over Maccabi Kiryat Gat. Jeff Afrien’s 16 points and 10 rebounds helped Herzilya outscore Kiryat Gat. Justin Carter had 12 points and 14 rebounds, while Eyal Shulman’s 12 points was not enough to bother the stronger Bnei Herzilya.
Hapoel Tel Aviv 87-85 Galil Gilboa
Hapoel Tel Aviv came away 87-85 victores in what was a very close match. All five of Hapoel’s starters finished with double-digit points. Richard Howell had 16 points and 11 rebounds, and Alando Tucker scored 16 points for Tel Aviv. Murphy Halloways’ 22 points and 10-13 shooting led the way for Galil, while Jason Siggers 21 points off the bench was not enough for Galil to take the W.
