Hapoel needed overtime to defeat Maccabi 104-94 in the Tel Aviv Derby. The Reds had the upper hand throughout the contest but a 25 point fourth quarter from the yellow-and-blue’s Scottie Wilbekin sent the game into the extra session. However, Hapoel was able to take advantage of the energetic home crowd to take the victory despite losing their captain Raviv Limonad and Jerel McNeal after having fouled out. Tomer Ginat and Richard Howell each scored 18 points while Jamal Shuler dropped 14 points for Hapoel. Wilbekin finished the evening with 36 points for Maccabi.

Hapoel Holon defeated Hapoel Beer Sheva 86-78 thanks to a 22-6 4th quarter run led by the league’s hottest player over the past few weeks, Corey Walden. After finishing last game with a season high 46 efficiency rating, Walden scored 21 points, went 14/15 from the free throw line, dished out 9 assists and drew 14 fouls. TJ Cline drilled home four 3-points on his way to a 14 point evening while Amit Simhon also dropped 14 points in the win. Jordan Swing scored 20 points, Jakim Donaldson recorded a double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds and Taylor Braun chipped in with 16 points for Beer Sheva. With the game tied up at 66-66 with seven remaining, Walden rattled off 9 points to help Holon to the win.
Nes Ziona needed a huge fourth quarter to drop Nahariya 103-93. Nadav Zilberstein’s squad outscored the northerners 34-17 in the final frame as they went on a 12-0 run to close out the game. Gary Browne scored 28 points, Tal Dunne added 21 points, 8 assists and 6 rebounds while Daequan Cook chipped in with 17 points and 7 assists. Iftach Ziv led Nahariya with 23 points, Jordan Crawford scored 20 points while Eric Griffin made his debut with 17 points and 8 rebounds. Crawford and Griffin led the visitor’s to a 54-41 advantage at halftime, but Browne and Dunne pounded away for the host’s over the remaining twenty minutes as they mounted a frantic comeback to take the victory.
Hapoel Eilat manhandled Bnei Herzilya 100-81 in a game that as never close. Elijah Bryant scored 20 points, JP Tokoto recorded a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds while Suleiman Braimoh dropped 17 points in the win. Micheal Dixon led the host’s with 23 points as new coach Ofer Berkovic’s debut ended in a loss. Eilat dishes out 36 assists with Avi Ben Chimol leading the way with 11 helpers.
Rishon Le’Zion recorded a 92-79 victory over Maccabi Ashdod to win their fifth game in a row and improve their record to 8-7. DeShawn Stephens scored 19 points, Alex Hamilton chipped in with 18 points, 8 assists and 7 rebounds as Cameron Long added 17 points for Rishon while Mark Tollefsen drooped 26 points for Ashdod.
