Hapoel Eilat 68-82 Maccabi Tel Aviv
The Yellow & Blue picked up their first win league win of the new 2017/18 Season defeating the hosts by 14 points. DeShaun Thomas starred yet again for Maccabi scoring 16 points while John DiBartolomeo added 14 points in the win. Jonah Bolden flirted with a double-double dropping 8 points while pulling down 11 rebounds as Norris Cole mad his debut playing 17 minutes and scoring 6 points. Pierre Jackson also returned from injury dishing out 6 assists while scoring 9 points in the victory. Afik Nissim led Eilat with 12 points as a trio of players in Jordan Loyd, Mike Rosario and Amit Simhon all scored 10 points for Meir Tapiro’s squad.
Bnei Herzliya 72-58 Ness Ziona
Shawn Dawson scored 17 points and pulled down 8 rebounds, Jeff Adrien dropped 13 points and Tom Maayan chipped in with 12 points and 8 rebounds for Mickey Gorka’s team. Elishay Kadir recorded a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds for the newly promoted club in the loss.
Hapoel Gilboa/Galil 84-77 Maccabi Ashdod
Strong games from Tyler Stone (18P & 10R), D’Angelo Harrison (17P) NIS Joaquin Szuchman (15P) helped the hosts to a 7 point overtime win. Ashdod stayed close thanks to superb performances by David Laury (19P & 13R), Sek Henry (17P) and Gerald Lee (15P & 12R) but it wasn’t enough in the overtime period to take the victory.
Hapoel Tel Aviv 81-78 Hapoel Holon
Tywain McKee scored 16 points and drew 7 fouls while Tomer Ginat scored 14 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to help Hapoel Tel Aviv to the 3 point win for head coach Danny Franco’s debut. Raviv Limonad and Jeff Allen each dropped 12 points for the Reds as Tu Holloway scored 15 points and Joe Alexander added 14 points in the loss for Dan Shamir’s Hapoel Holon.
