Hapoel Beer Sheva defeated Hapoel Galil Elyon 89-84 as Iverson Molinar was unstoppable throughout the contest to help the southern reds pick up the victory. Molinar, Justin McKoy and Spencer Weisz all scored for Hapoel Beer Sheva early on while Marcus Carr, Rawle Alkins, DJ Kennedy and Lenard Freeman countered for Hapoel Galil Elyon as they grabbed a 45-43 lead at halftime. Molinar continued to score at will, Carr and Alkins responded, but Molinar and McKoy kept finding the bottom of the basket down the stretch to take the win. Molinar scored 29 points, McKoy added 21 points and Weisz chipped in with 14 points while Alkins scored 29 points and Carr put in 22 points in the loss.

“We played very well and the key was not turning over the ball,” Hapoel Beer Sheva Head Coach Rami Hadar began. “As for Iverson Molinar, he wants to learn and he wants to improve. The guys want him to take the ball in the decisive moments of the game which is also great. Right now we have to get back into shape and relax and ready ourselves for the Play In games.”

Hapoel Galil Elyon Head Coach Guni Izraeli commented following the game, “I wanted to finish as high as possible in the regular season but we will see where we are after the last round of games, as a team we are now deeper with the addition of DJ Kennedy.”

Hapoel Gilboa Galil downed Maccabi Ramat Gan 78-74 as Elijah Childs came alive in the second half snatch the win. Isaiah Miles, Adam Ariel and Kendale McCullum all put their names on the scoresheet for Maccabi Ramat Gan while Gyr Lavy, Ish El-Amin and Niv Misgav came back with points for Hapoel Gilboa Galil, but the visitors stayed in front 43-39 at halftime. Elijah Childs started finding the basket, Yonatan Atias countered, but more points from Childs closed out the victory.

“This was a game that Ramat Gan didn’t want to lose,” Gilboa Galil Head Coach Sharon Avrahami said. “They payed a lot of small ball and we had a tough time trying to play our game. I told the guys at halftime that we need to raise the level of our energy anf they did just that in order to win the game.”

“We need to handle the situation here better and we need to do this as quickly as possible,” Ramat Gan Head Coach Shmulik Brenner said. “Amin Stevens won’t be available for the Jerusalem series and we are looking for a big man to help out. We are all together when we win and when we lose, but that is us.”
