Hapoel Beer Sheva and Hapoel Haifa played to a 1-1 draw as Kings Kangwa scored in the 22nd minute and former red Alon Turgeman nodded home the tying goal just minutes later as the sides split the points.

“The result reflects the game, we were not good, to put it mildly,” Beer Sheva Head Coach Ron Kozuk began. “I don’t think Hapoel Haifa pressed us, they simply closed down angles. We played very slowly and didn’t take up the positions we were supposed to. In the second half I changed the system to three center-backs, but at the end of the day it was just a cosmetic solution for this match. We need to stick to our principles because otherwise we’re just another team in the league.”

“I think we have a good team that needs to be allowed to play,” Haifa bench boss Haim Silvas said. “We did what we needed to do and I’m very disappointed with the result. After an outstanding first half, we didn’t manage to go into the break with the lead. The second half was much more difficult for us. I knew that as time went on we would need one or two more chances to take the three points. We missed a lot of opportunities that would have made things much more complicated for Beer Sheva.”
