They set the tone in the first half and we managed to slow it down in the second half. Our fans back home miss us and we miss them, we need them in the Israeli league and whatever we do here is for them and then for us.”
Hamburg bench boss Benka Barloschky also commented on the loss, “I think we couldn’t keep control of the defensive rebounds. We created a lot of opportunities but we have to shoot better against an opponent like this. This was the best game we have played so far, we are going in the right direction and if we tweak a few details we won’t lose many games this year.
Austin Wiley also discussed the win, “Hamburg is good team and they came to play. I am proud of my guys and we can continue to roll. They are fast team and like to run, they had a lot of offensive rebounds in the first half and the coach spoke about that at halftime so we focused on that in the second half. I always try to help my team on the glass. We have a great preseason and great camp, we all know what we can bring to the table and we are ready.”
