Hapoel Tel Aviv’s new head coach Dimitrios Itoudis arrived in Israel on Friday as the Greek tactician will take over the reins from his countryman Stefanos Dedas to becomes the new bench boss’s assistant. As Itoudis stepped off the plane from Athens he gave a statement about the upcoming challenge in front of him and the team.
“Thank you for the welcome. The passion of Ofer and the passion of the team matched my expectations. With the management we are going to put in a lot of effort to bring Hapoel to where it deserves to be. There’s a lot of work to do, obviously it’s a mountain to climb but like I said the expectations of our owner and the expectations or our fans is what made me not think that much but take it with a big desire. The team has already established some good status quo but we need some kind of additions and also not only additions in regards of players but also in regards to effort and each and everyone has to give more than 100% in order to achieve those things. Thanks again for the welcome, let’s go to work. Yalla Hapoel!”
