On this week’s episode, special guest and Maccabi Tel Aviv supporter for over 35 years Michael Kun joins me to dissect Maccabi Tel Aviv’s 1-0 defeat at the hands of Basel of Switzerland where Theodor Herzl said back in 1897 at the First Zionist Congress, “At Basel, I founded the Jewish State. If I said this out loud today, I would be answered by universal laughter. Perhaps in five years, certainly in fifty, everyone will know it.” Well we know that some 50 years later that is indeed what happened in the city of Tel Aviv!

Though Maccabi will be disappointed to go home to Tel Aviv with no away goal they still are in prime position to move onto the playoff round of the UEFA Champions League Qualifying tourney.
