“We fought until the end, it wasn’t easy for us and it wasn’t our best game offensively as we missed a lot of shots,” Maccabi coach Oded Katash began. In double weeks, the second game a a lot of things can happen but we haver to give credit to Red Star and coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos it’s not that they only played better than us, they hit some really tough shots and Teodosic did his thing. we were mot good enough and the best team won.”

“We showed that we wanted to win a lot and we fought for the balls offensively and defensively,” Red Star head coach Ioannis Sfairopoulos said. “We had players participating on both ends of the court against a very good team, Maccabi is very talented and very athletic, but we saw a very good defensive face and very good participation from the pales offensively which is why we took the lead and we won at the end. This game was special as it was the first time I faced Maccabi.”
