Football Israel Round 10 Ligat Ha’Al

Crazy Round for Football Israel this week! Tons of goals except for the3 last game Beer Sshve & Ramat HaSharon which finsihed in the old 0-0 deadlock! Beitar Jerusalem goes down to defeat to Kiryat Shemona, Maccabi Tel Aviv win in Haifa for the second time this season.

Beitar Jerusalem 1-4 Kiryat Shemona

What can you say. The better team won on this day. Total domination by the northern capital team as Kiryat Shemona walk away at Teddy Stadium with a shocking victory over struggling Beitar Jerusalem.

Beitar came into this match coming off a 2-0 loss to Maccabi Haifa at Kiryat Eliezer stadium in Haifa two weeks ago and were hoping that 36 year old David Revivo would lead the offense and change Beitar’s fortune. Unfortunately it was not to be as Revivo did not have a chance to show his ware in the first half barely touching the ball with Kiryat Shemona controlling the flow of play.

Kiryat Shemona put home three goals in the first half on a Tamir Kahlon brace with the 2nd coming on a penalty and an Eli Dasa brutal back pass own goal.

Sintayahu Sollalich scored a great goal to bring Beitar within two, 3-1 and with the insertion of Aviram Bruchian for Revivo and Teteh Bangura Beitar’s chances started to look up, but an Achmed Abed goal from short range in the 75th out the final nail in the coffin as the two teams played out the final minutes.

Beitar supporters called for the dismissal of coach Eli Cohen, but it will be seen what indeed happens to the first year Beitar manager.

Hapoel Haifa 1-3 Maccabi Tel Aviv

Hapoel Haifa talked a big game all week and they showed exactly why in the 1st half taking a shock 1-0 lead over the Eran Zahavi-less defending champions. Zarko Korac put the home side ahead 1-0 but Maccabi came storming back in the 2nd half on a Ben Harush header off a terrific Mahran Radi corner. The second goal on a Barack Yitzhaki controversial penalty and Tal Ben Haim finished the comeback with the yellow & blues third goal of the match.

Hapoel Akko 3-2 Bnei Yehuda

Another poor performance by Bnei Yehuda down most of the match 3-0 should be of great concern to veteran coach Dror Kashtan. Akko however under Yuval Naim’s tutelage have been making the best out of the least. Nenad Marinkovic scored the first for Akko against his former team with Mirko Ormush scoring the 2nd and Italian Juliano Spadaccia put on the third before the half time whistle. Bnei UEFA tried to comeback with two goals late in the game by Amir Agiev & Gil Yitzhak but it was too little too late.

Maccabi Petach Tikva 1-3 Bnei Sakhnin

Ala Abu Salach, Muhamed Kalibat & Dedi Ben Dayan scored for Sakhnin in what may have been Moshe Sinai’s last game on the Petach Tikva sidelines.  Guy Melamed had evened it up at one but the goal was not enough to stave off a very well coached Bnei Sakhnin squad under Marko Balbul.

Hapoel Raanana 3-0 Ashdod

Dudu de Souza scored on a poorly taken free kick from 25 meters out Thiam Mamadou scored the second and Anthony Nwakeme the third as Nir Klinger’s club loses for the first time since mid-October. Raanana has been the darlings of the league so far this season and now move into third place.

Hapoel Beer Sheva 0-0 Ramat HaSharon

HBS sent its fans home in shock last night as they couldn’t find a way to break through the RHS defense and picked up only one point against the last place club. After a slew of goals in this round, a total of 27, the home side which had just beaten Maccabi Tel Aviv the prior round couldn’t find there way to stay tied a top the standings.
