There was a surprise visitor at the last game of the Eurobasket group stage in Prague as Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon arrived unannounced to watch his teammate Nikola Jokic play for the Serbian national team in 96-89 win over Poland.

The Sports Rabbi along with some media members caught up with Gordon at the end of the game for a few words about his teammate and more.

“I say it all the time when you have Nikola Jokic on your team you got a good chance of winning every single game that you have. I’m excited to see what they can do out in Berlin and I’m cheering for him.”

Gordon continued, “I’m sorry I missed Vlatko (Cancar) in Slovenia and would have been nice to see Chucky too but I’m just here to support man. It’s really what it’s about, we’re family, we’re a team. I’ll travel all over the world to watch basketball and support Jo.”

Following the game both Jokic and Gordon embraced and shared a few words, “We didn’t say much, he asked me if I was traveling around Europe and he asked me what I’m doing here and I said that I just came to pull up on you and to watch the game. He asked me if I was coming to Berlin, I told him no and good luck, bring another trophy home. I didn’t let him know (that he was coming).”

The fourth pick overall in the 2014 NBA Draft also had a shout out to his fans in Serbia, “I just want to say what’s up to all of my Serbian fans and thank you for the support. Just stay tuned we have big things growing in Denver.”
