Nes Ziona downed Kiryat Ata 93-70 as Elad Hasin’s squad featured five players in double digits and a pair, DJ Cooper and Jerome Meyinsee with double-doubles to take the win ahead of the break. With the score 45-42 at halftime, the hosts came out flying as Tyler Bey scored a quick 11 points while the entire team played tight defense to outscore Sharon Avrahami’s team 26-10 in the third quarter to,put the game away.

Cooper scored 19 points and dished out 15 assists, Meyinsee added 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Ronnie Harrell and Bey each scored 18 points in the victory. Amin Stevens scored 21 points and grabbed 14 rebounds, while Chavaughn Lewis scored 17 points in the loss.

“Our defense was key as we spoke about stopping Diante Garrett and Chavaughn Lewis.” Nes Ziona coach Elad Hasin explained. “We did a decent job on that and we held Kiryat Ata to only 28 second half points, but we still have plenty to improve on and I think we can play even better. However, it’s always good to go to a break with a win.”

Tyler Bey also Loke about the game that was, “I didn’t score much in the first half so it was just rebounding the ball and playing basketball in the second half. My teammates keep me going and they are always there for me. I think we play great together.”
