Nes Ziona walloped Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion 93-73 as Brad Greenberg’s squad broke a five game losing streak to get back in the win column. After a close first quarter, the hosts began to find their rhythm and consistently drove into the paint with their aggressive play led by Patrick Miller to record the victory.
Miller led all scorers with 22 points and 10 assists, Jerome Meyinsse added 20 points and 12 rebounds, Braian Angola chipped in with 19 points and Nimrod Levi scored 12 points in the win. Akil Mitchell and Egor Koulechov paced Guy Goodes’s team with 16 points a piece in the loss.
Nes Ziona jumped out to a 19-15 first quarter lead as Patrick Miller, Braian Angola and Nimrod Levi paced the hosts while Egor Koulechov with a pair of corner triples and Akil Mitchell helped keep Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion close after ten minutes.
However, Brad Greenberg’s squad began pulling away in the second quarter as Jerome Meyinsse, Lior Carrera, Levi and Miller went hard to the basket as they overwhelmed Guy Goodes’s team who saw Golan Gutt hit a pair of 3-pointers as Nes Ziona bumped their lead up to 52-33 at halftime.
Rishon’s Mitchell started to chip away at the Nes Ziona lead as Jeremy Largo began heating up but Meyinsse and Angola who scored the final five points of the third quarter kept Greenberg’s crew in front 71-55 after thirty minutes of action.
Nes Ziona continued to pour on the offense in the fourth quarter as Miller, Meyinsse Levi and Angola finished off a 20-point home victory to the delight of their fans.
Hapoel Haifa got by Hapoel Beer Sheva 82-78 thanks to a 20-0 run to begin the 3rd quarter as the visitors were able to hold on to record the win after a frantic final frame. Karam Mashour (18 points), Keenan Evans (17 points, 8 assists) and Lennard Freeman (13 points) led the way for the Carmel Reds as Caleb Agada (23 points) and Eric Griffin (17 points) paced Rami Hadar’s team in the loss.
Hapoel Tel Aviv smashed Nahariya 112-77 as the Reds took control of the game after a close first quarter thanks to big men Justin Tillman and Tyrique Jones along with star guard and Boston Celtics property Yam madar to cruise to the victory. Tillman led all scorers with 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds, Jones added 21 points while Madar notched 16 points in the win. Malik Newman paced Nahariya with 25 points and Jaron Blossomgame chipped in with 15 points in the loss.
