Nes Ziona downs Hapoel Tel Aviv, Nahariya tops Maccabi Haifa

Nes Ziona used a huge fourth quarter to drop an exhausted Hapoel Tel Aviv 76-66 and get back onto the winning track. The Reds jumped out to a comfortable 53-45 lead after thirty minutes as Bar Timor paced Danny Franco’s squad, however, Braian Angola, Nimrod Levi and Patrick Miller led a frantic comeback to outscore the visitors 31-13 in the final frame to snatch the win.

Nahariya pulled away in the fourth quarter against Maccabi Haifa to record the 85-77 win. Shai Segalovich’s northern squad used a 30-22 fourth quarter to take their third victory of the campaign and move out of the league’s basement as they were playing once again without the suspended Joe Alexander. Jaron Blossomgame had a huge game with 24 points and 11 boards, Michael Young added 18 points and 12 rebounds while Mailk Newman scored 14 points in the win. Michael Cobbins paced Daniel Seoane’s team with 19 points and 13 rebounds while Chris Dowe chipped in with 17 points as Kalin Lucas went a miserable 1/14 for the field against his former club.
