“I think for 35 minutes we dominated and this is the way we have to play,” Hapoel Head Coach Stefanos Dedas said. “We know our potential and this was a good showcase as to what we can do. We can’t ignore that Besiktas played in the semifinals with the same coach and the same players. It wasn’t easy and we worked hard with the coaching staff to prepare the team and the players executed the game plan.”
“It was very difficult for us to play when you have four players out with foul trouble,” Besiktas Head Coach Susan Alimpijevic’s said. “I am not complaining that they shot 40 free throws (38) here in Belgrade, but this caused us issues as to how we play. I can’t complain about it. We have to take something from the game in order to make us smarter.”
