Maccabi Tel Aviv is monitoring Lorenzo Brown’s status at Panathinaikos and will attempt to sign him this summer, The Sports Rabbi has learned in collaboration with Israel HaYom. Brown (34, 1.96) starred for Maccabi Tel Aviv for two seasons before moving to Euroleague champion Panathinaikos last summer. In recent weeks, the status of the American point guard has declined, having been pushed out of Ergin Atman’s rotation. Israel HaYom also notes that Brown signed a large contract with the Athens based team and may release him while also financially assisting a team that is interested in acquiring him.
