Tavares and Luwawu-Cabarrot scored with ease in the third quarter, Yam Madar kept hitting his free throws as Campazzo did the same at the other end of the court as Alberto Abalde helped Los Blancos go up 81-73 by the end of the period. Feliz returned to his scoring ways in the fourth quarter as Colson and Clark tried to keep Maccabi close, but points from Theo Maledon and Ablade wrapped up the win.

Maccabi Head Coach Oded Katash reflected on the loss, “We had a good first half but in the second half we just ran out of steam and were tired, especially our guards. Playing against a team like Real is tough and you have to pick your poison. But in a game like they had here as their guards hit their shots and had good possessions was just very difficult for us. However, we can take some good things from this game.”

Jaylen Hoard spoke about the loss, “We stopped moving the ball and anytime that happens it puts ourselves in a hole and it’s not the first time. I’m not sure what we can do to correct it. We have to do to the same way as we did against Valencia. We can’t use Iffe’s absence as an excuse and we have to find ways to get wins. We have to stay together on the defensive side and share the ball on offense.”

Oshae Brissett also talks about the defeat, “Two completely different halves and we have to learn from this. It’s not great to lose and we have to be better when a team goes on a run and we let this slip away and we are not happy with the result, we have to get better.”
