Maccabi Rishon Le’Zion cruised past Nes Ziona 92-73 as DJ Burns starred for the wine city squad that saw their new head coach Guy Kaplan record his first win with the club. Rishon jumped out to an early 12-point, 26-14 lead after the opening quarter and never looked back to pick up their second victory of the season. Burns scored 28 points and JJ Kaplan added 15 points in the win while Bryce Brown scored 18 points in the loss.
Hapoel Tel Aviv eased past Hapoel Beer Sheva 102-77 as six players scored in double digits to move their Israeli league record to 8-0 on the season. Tai Odiase scrod 18 points and Bar Timor put in 13 points in the win, while Michael Foster Jr. scored 19 points and Cody Demps put in 16 points in the loss.
Kiryat Ata defeated Maccabi Raanana 84-80 as Eldad Bentov’s squad needed a fourth quarter comeback led by Malik Hall (22p), Jemaya Neal (16p) and Yuval Hochstadter (14p) to overcome Joe Ragland (19p) and Nate Laszewski take the victory.
Hapoel HaEmek blasted Elitzur Netanya 79-59 as they took a 44-23 lead into halftime and never looked back to move their record to 7-2 on the season. Elijah Childs scored 15 points while Kyler Edwards and Kadin Shedrick both scored 13 points in the victory as Nick Ogenda scored 22 points in the defeat.
