Hapoel Jerusalem demolished Maccabi Haifa 94-75 to give Dainius Adomaitis his first win as the Reds coach. Malcolm Hill was stellar win the victory as he scored early and often as he led the way for Jerusalem to notch the win.

Malcolm Hill got busy early for Hapoel Jerusalem with 8 points while Tamir Blatt and Adam Ariel scored form beyond the arc as Kalin Lucas who just joined Maccabi Haifa from Nahariya chalked up 9 points to keep the Greens competitive as the Reds led 23-18 after ten minutes of play.

Tashawn Thomas scored a layup and put in a dunk to get Jerusalem off and running in the second quarter while Kalin Lucas and Micheal Cobbins tried to keep Haifa close with a shot from outside but triples by Blatt and Chris Kramer kept the Reds in front 35-27 midway through the frame. Kramer went off for more points as did J’Covan Brown and Malcolm Hill to give Dainius Adomaitis’s team a commanding 48-33 lead at halftime.
Suleiman Braimoh with a deuce and Hill with a triple got Jerusalem rolling in the third quarter as Thomas added a dunk an Braimoh put in another layup to give the Reds a 61-37 advent midway through the third quarter. Brisker and Hill traded 3-pointers but Haifa began cutting the lead as Roman Sorkin and Naor Sharon scored lay-ups while Donta Smith went from deep to bring the gap down to 12 points 75-63.

Sorkin and Cobbins continued to score for Daniel Seoane’s team but Braimoh kept pounding in points and Blatt hit a triple to keep Jerusalem in front 84-69 with 5:14 left in regulation time. Idan Zalmanson started to score, Hill continued to find points as did Braimoh to give coach Adomaitis his first win with Jerusalem.
