The 20-year old holds the title of the 2018 European Junior Champion in the 4×200 freestyle and the 100 meter freestyle.

Meiron Cheruti will be competing for Israel this summer in the Tokyo Olympics in two different swimming categories- the 50 meter freestyle and the 100 meter freestyle. Cheruti started his swimming career at the age of 5 and his local club is Maccabi Haifa. The 23-year old is part of a program created by David Marsh in conjunction with the Israel Swimming Association entitled “Project Rising Star” and will look to achieve a good result in both of the categories that he will be participating in for the Blue and White.

Andrea (Andi) Murez will be swimming for Israel this summer in the Tokyo Olympics. The 29-year old will be competing in three different swimming categories: the 50-meter freestyle, the 100-meter freestyle and the 200-meter freestyle. This summer will mark the second time that Murez who made Aliyah in 2014, will be participating in the Olympics, after having competed for Israel in the previous Olympics in 2016 in Rio. Murez, who is originally from the United States has won 9(!) gold medals in multiple Maccabiah games. In high school and college, Murez competed numerous swimming competitions throughout the years. This summer, Murez wants to make the step up and possibly put her name on the exclusive list of Israeli athletes who have made it onto the podium in the Olympics.
