The Israel Under-21 National Team played to a goalless draw with Bosnia in what was a “home” match played in Hungary as the young blue-and-white remained in third place in their Euro 2027 qualifying group. Had Guy Luzon’s squad won they would have moved into second place with two matches remaining, but they faded in the second half and nearly conceded a late goal in stoppage time.
Prior to kickoff some Bosnian players refused to shake hands with the Israelis, however, the match itself went smoothly, aside from the lack of goals.

Israel’s best chance in the first half came in the 28th minute, when Tai Abed received a pass from Noam Ben Harush on the edge of the box, turned but shot wide. Bosnia also threatened, and in the 56th minute and nearly scored from a set piece, but the ball went just past the post.
In the closing minutes, Israel appealed for a penalty after contact between the goalkeeper and Ran Binyamin, but the referee waved play on. Deep into stoppage time, Bosnia thought they had found a winning goal and began celebrating, but Mohammad Abu Romi cleared the ball off the line and the assistant referee signaled that the ball had not gone into the goal.

Israel settled for a disappointing point as the match marked their second consecutive goalless draw against Bosnia in this qualifying campaign.
Head Coach Guy Luzon summed up the contest, “The first half was very good from our side. We controlled the pace of the game and created half-chances but failed to convert them. In the second half, there was a drop in our performance, which stemmed from our poor match fitness due to the war and the league break. Now we’re heading into the September window, the final two matches, with a good chance of qualifying for the playoffs. We’ll need to do the job there.”
The bench boss continued, “Bosnia is a team that has conceded only one goal throughout the campaign so far. It’s considered one of the best defensive teams in Europe, if not the best. It wasn’t easy, and it was also important for us not to concede from their transitions. In the end, a draw reflects what happened on the pitch, but we’re looking ahead to the September window. That will be the window that determines our fate. Right now we have the same number of points as second place. We and Bosnia both have seven points and the last two matches will decide things one way or the other.”

Israel’s Under-19 National Team drew 1-1 with Bosnia and advanced to the next stage of the European Championship qualifiers. The first half saw the Bosnians control the game and were more dangerous as they took an early lead thanks to Said Mišić strike in the 11th minute. However, Ofir Haim’s squad showed character and found the equalizer via Maccabi Haifa’s Noam Levy in the 43rd minute.
Israel dominated the second half and despite not finding the winner, Israel advanced to the next stage after recording 4 points in the initial qualifying group. The blue-and-white will look to maneuver their way through the next round and then advance to the Elite stage where they will be one step away from the European Championships.

The Israel Under-17 National Team defeated the Faroe Islands 4–0 in their final match of the second round of the European Championship qualifiers. As a result, Arik Benado’s squad recorded a perfect record with three wins and secured a place in next year’s League A qualifiers.
After victories over Estonia (2-0) and an impressive 3-1 win over England, the blue-and-white side delivered once again, showing dominance from the early stages of the match. In the 16th minute, Daniel Ben Shoshan scored the opener from the penalty spot while Idan Dedia doubled the lead close to the halftime beak. In the second half, Israel added two more goals, with Yarin Abuheitzeira and Fuad Ghnaim finding the back of the goal.
Head Coach Arik Benado spoke about his side’s success, “I don’t know if there has ever been a team that finished with nine points in an official tournament. This is amazing, crazy and emotional. The coaching staff and I have no words to describe our appreciation for you. You were all wow, wow, wow. Go Israel!”
