Maccabi Petach Tikva 2:1 Hapoel Haifa
Hapoel Haifa’s luck didn’t get off to the start they wanted in the Relegation Playoffs flyer falling 2:1 to Petach Tikva at the Moshava Stadium. Roie Gordana struck first in the 67th minute while substitute Hagi Goldenberg added to the lead taking a deep pass by Gidi Kanuk and putting it by the Reds keeper Marijan Antolovic. An Ellison Dos Santos own goal pulled one back for Eli Cohen’s Haifa club but it was too little too late for the visitors who find themselves in second to last place.
Hapoel Kfar Saba 3:0 Hapoel Tel Aviv
The week off between the second and playoff rounds did some good for Eli Gutman and his Hapoel Tel Aviv side as the Reds demolished Kfar Saba 3:0 at Levita Stadium. Nemanja Nikolic starred picking up a brace on two long blasts while assisting on Hapoel’s second goal scored by Shmuel Scheimann all in the first half giving the visitors an easy victory.
Bnei Yehuda 1:0 Kiryat Shemona
Bnei Yehuda’s fine play continued while Kiryat Shemona’s struggles also stayed withe the Northern club falling 1:0 at Bloomfield Stadium. Pedro Galvan scored his 10th goal of the season in the 27th minute while Austin Amutu picked up a pair of yellows for a couple of brutal fouls on Itzik Asus in the second half to find his way out of the match with a red card.
Hapoel Akko 4:1 Maccabi Netanya
Akko did what they do a few weeks ago which was to defeat the last place team in the league. Dylan Seys scored a brace while Or Peretz and Samuel Gilomre each added a goal in the win. Sa’ar Benbenisti pulled one back for the visitors as their fate has been sealed to play in the second division next year.
