Maccabi Tel Aviv 5:0 Hapoel Kfar Saba
The Yellow-and-Blue picked up 5 goals in a whitewash of Kfar Saba. After defeating the Sharon club on Wednesday night in State Cup play, Head Coach Peter Bosz made wholesale changes to his starting lineup. Orlando Sa scored a brace, heading in two goals, while Dor Micha, Eran Zahavi and Barak Itzhaki all added a goal in the win which moves the club to within two points of first place Hapoel Beer Sheva. Hapoel Beer Sheva 2:2 Bnei Sakhnin
Finally, Beer Sheva dropped points and at home nonetheless. The incredible run the southern squad has had up until now as been spectacular but a game Bnei Sakhnin who held the lead twice was able to squeeze a point out of their opponent prior to facing Maccabi Tel Aviv this coming week. In a crazy derby at Sammy Ofer Stadium the Haifa Greens bested the Haifa Reds on a late own goal. Maccabi took a 2:0 lead in goals by Glynor Plet and Ataa Jabar but Hapoel stormed back in the second half to draw even. Hisham Kiwan and an own goal by Taleb Tawhatha made it 2:2 but an own goal by Hapoel from Ofek Fischler did them in as they still remain mired in the relegation zone in 13th place.
Kiryat Shemona 0:2 Beitar Jerusalem
Claudemir Perreira’s second goal in two games and Nikita Rukavytsya’s 5th goal in five games led Beitar to yet another three points and their fifth win in a row. Slobodan Drapic’s side will head into the upper playoffs in third place well ahead of the three teams beneath them,
Maccabi Petach Tikva 1:1 Hapoel Tel Aviv
The Reds picked up a point thanks to an Aaron Schoenfeld goal in the 25th minute off a Ramzi Sfori inbounds pass. Petach Tikva drew even in the 42nd minute as Gidi Kanuk scored from outside of the box as the sides split points and will meet again in the lower playoffs which begin in two weeks.
Hapoel Raanana 0:2 Bnei Yehuda
Yossi Mizrachi’s side picked up three valuable points just before the lower playoffs get underway defeating Haim Silvas’s side 2:0 away. Pedro Galvan headed in a 22nd goal minute goal while Amir Agaev doubled the score in the second half to help earn their team the victory.
Hapoel Akko 1:1 Maccabi Netanya
In what may be the shock of Matchday 26, Netanya drew with Akko picking up a point and even had a chance to win had Itzik Cohen not missed a penalty. Moti Malka gave Netanya a shock leaf in the 5th minute while Tzion Tzemach scored on a free kick to even up the score at 1:1.
