The Israel Under-20 National Team moved to 2-0 in the European Championships with a 90-72 win over Italy as they will look to finish off the group stage with a perfect record when they face Germany.
The blue-and-white grabbed a 43-33 lead by half-time as Ilay Dolinski found the basket in they first quarter and Noam Yaacov scored at will in the second to build up the double digit lead. Amit Menchem got busy in the third quarter while Yoav Berman and Alon Michaeli put the finishing touches on the victory.
Yaacov scored 20 points, Berman added 17 points, Michaeli chipped in with 16 points and Dolinski scored 15 points in the win for Elad Hasin’s squad.
