Israel moved their record to 3-0 in the FIBA Challenger Tournament in Tel Aviv as they slipped by France 89-83 in an exciting, drama filled contest. France jumped all over the Blue & White early on with strong play from top prospect Daryl Doualla, but Oren Aharoni’s squad came back to tie the game up by halftime as Ron Zipper, Ofek Gol and Yuval Levin led the charge.

The host country moved ahead by the end of the third frame, but once again Les Bleus kept hanging around to stay within one point late in the game. However, ten straight points by Zipper gave Israel the breathing room they needed to sew up the victory.
