The Israel National Team held a joint training session on Wednesday with Druze youth. The youth, who play basketball, watched the team’s training session and at the end took pictures with the players and had the chance to shoot baskets with them as well.

The special practice session is part of a series that is designed to bring all segments of the population closer to the Israel National Team.

Roi Huber spoke about the opportunity to put a smile on the faces of the Drzue children, “It was a fun event and one that was very moving to be able to make them happy. The Druze population are going through a difficult time and it’s great that they are here with us. Anything that can make them happy is a blessing. As for me, it’s great to be on the team and it’s an honor to represent the country. We all try to always strive to do our best.”

Samih Kayouf the manager of the Isfiya basketball club, said, “It’s a ton offun for us and for the children to be part of the Israel National Team’s training session. For the children, it’s an experience they won’t forget for a long time. This is further proof of the strong alliance between us, especially during these difficult times.”
